Beltane May Celebration of Fertility!  This is a Tarot Blog Hop article about hope, memories, and may I add – about a bun in the oven.  Moreover, it is about our Sisters Under The Star.

I LOVE YOU BABY

When I found out you were coming,

It took me by surprise.

It took me time to realize

I’ll have a son by my side.

Hello, fellow Tarot Readers and bloggers.  My name is Evergreen of Tarot Reading by Evergreen.  This blog article of mine is part of the 2016 Beltane Tarot Blog Hop.  Our wrangler is Karen Sealey.

Karen asked us to create puns and do free associations with the word “may.”.   As today we celebrate Beltane, I thought that I may go with what first comes to my mind when thinking of the word “may.”  Fertility!

If I may, fertility is a thing of the past for me now.  I now am at that age when people call me “dear.”  My Tarot Clients tell me I am as a grandmother towards them when Reading for them, and rightly so.  I am 61 years old now; I am a crone.  Being a crone means not only to do Tarot Readings but also to share my motherly experience with the younger mothers.

Beltane at the Winter Season

Beltane at the Winter Season is for us old ones.  Being that old, I am obviously in my Winter Season now.  In my Winter Season, I live pretty much in isolation.  I am an old recluse of sorts (if one may describe me as such).  During my long Winter months, I do Tarot Readings for people – yes.

Llewllyn’s Tarot Deck

Moreover, my Ten of Cups, I now use differently than when I was a young woman.  The Water Element with which I work the most has now turned to Ice now.  This means that Element of Ice loves me and I love it back.

My memories, the good and the bad ones, along with the Crone Goddess have become my best friends.  They keep me company.  And so has the Crone Goddess.

The Three Aspects of the Crone Goddess at Beltane

The Three Aspects of the Crone Goddess at Beltane are awesome!  However, let us not confuse the purpose of their aspects.  Some may confuse the three aspects of the Goddess; but not me.

Beltane May Celebration of Fertility
Beltane May Celebration of Fertility

I have learned to make the difference between the three of them.  My girl Goddess still lives within me.  But she only brings memories of a time when I just wanted to ride on my bike, and of just wanting to climb up trees – just like the boys did.  And I am good with her just reminding me of those fun Summer days now.

My young mother Goddess still lives on within me. But she only brings the memories of wanting men to notice me above all others.  Of having fallen in love, of getting married with my not so Prince Charming, and of the boys we raised under our roof together.  And I am good with just those memories now that I have released my first Ex.  To read about releasing your ex-lover or how to release your ex-husband, click on Release your ex-lover.

The Crone Goddess which I represent, now takes up nearly all the place within my reality.  She reminds me on a daily basis, of my being confronted with my humanity.  And I have no other choice but to be good with that.

Being lonely at Beltane

Being lonly at Beltane, when you are a crone, is the loneliest of times.  At such  loneliest of times, I take comfort in my memories, and in the Crone aspect of my person.  My husband having gone to isolate himself from me now lives in that place where men go to during their own Winter Months.  So I await his return come this Spring Time!  Even if this makes me feel sad at the thought of having lost both my my physical attractiveness, and my husband’s romantic presence near me.  I am somewhat good with being in contact with my spiritual side all of the time.  Though I do wish I could be a young women just one more time in this life; but oh well!

Winter is finally over in Biloxi Ms

Winter is finally over in Biloxi Ms.  In my physical reality however, the month of May his here.  There is hope for living life to its fullest here in Biloxi, Mississippi!

April showers have now ceased.  Our lawn is green again, and Hubby has once again returned to me.  In the sense that he is doing all the things I put on his ‘honey do’ list.  Such things, for example, as mowing the lawn!

My bush trees have already bloomed (no pun intended).  My almond tree as grown back its leaves.   My neighbor’s bird aviary is full of activity again.  Hope is found in Mother Nature!

Beltane buns in the oven

Beltane buns in the oven represent Hope.  By hope, I mean that Valentine is remembered for the excellent job he did with his little arrows last February!  His Love Magick still lingers on.  Some of the young men and young women that had fallen for each other back then, have little surprises for us all now.  You know what they say!  They say, your reap what you sow lol.

Spring is that time of the year when I, as a Crone, have now left my Winter retreat to join the rest of my community of women.  My fellow women welcome my return to them.  Like my mother before me and her mother before her, I am now teaching and giving wise counsel to the younger women around me.  And I dare say, us old women abound with the wise council, most especially at Beltane!

Beltane is the season of Fertility!  We celebrate Fertility on May 1st of each year.   This is when knowing a crone, such as myself,  comes in handy.  Among other things, we crones are more than happy to share our knowledge and experience concerning fertility with the young mothers.

I know that when doing a Tarot Reading, the Reading is not about me.  However, it is the privilege of my years to share a little bit about myself with the younger mothers.  Sometimes, a little bit of reassurance and encouragement can go long ways.

Sometimes, a fertility test comes back positive.  This may seem a little overwhelming at first.  I will always remember my first positive pregnancy test.

It was a phone call from my pharmacist that confirmed it.  He had called to give me the results of that urine sample I had brought in for him to test for me.   My first husband and I had been trying to get pregnant on purpose – for over three years without any positive results.  But just not that time!  That time it came back positive!

When the pharmacist told me, that I was for sure pregnant that time, I was in shock!  At first, I couldn’t believe it!  It was only on his third time repeating to me that I was pregnant, that I said “thank you!  He was nearly as happy as I was!

Tears of joy streamed down my cheeks.  A baby was growing inside my tummy.  My own flesh and blood!  Somehow, I just knew it was a boy!  My son!  I’ll have a son standing by my side during my old age!

I turned to share this moment with my husband.  I went to him, kissed him while still in tears.  I told him “we did it, we are pregnant with a baby.”  He was in shock too.  His mind couldn’t wrap itself around the fact that I was pregnant – for real this time!  That he was really going to be a Dad.  (Dads are slower than Moms in realizing what is happening to them.  Dad’s bodies don’t act pregnant at all.  And that is why, in the beginning, Dads have to take Mom’s word on it).

Don’t get me wrong, I loved my baby inside me; but suddenly I was the one who got spooked with carrying a child.  What if something went wrong?  What if something happened to the baby?  What if I lost the baby?  And then, it hit me like a tone of bricks…  Omg!  What if it hurts too much to deliver him?  I was suddenly overwhelmed with the fear of giving birth! And that is when I phoned my mother!   And right after hanging up the phone with her, I called her sister – my Aunt Helene (my best friend).

Both my mother and Aunt Helene knew exactly the right words to say to me.  They shared with me their personal experience as a mother.  Especially Aunt Helene who had four of her own.  Aunt Helene said, she had given birth to four babies, and that each delivery had gone smoothly!  It was these words of wisdom that had given me hope about this new life that was growing inside of me.

Both Mom and Aunt Helene had no doubt that I would go ahead and have this baby; and that the birth would go well.  They both insisted on giving me their support in my new found motherhood.  Both insisted on the fact that they would babysit and change diapers.  All this on Beltane of that year!  And then again, on another Beltane – three years later!  And so will you – each new mothers.

Beltane, May Celebration of Fertility!  A May 1st Sabbath about life renewed with a bun in the oven, support from our Sisters under the Star, and comfort in our old age.  Moreover, about Mother Nature doing what she does best – renewing the bringing of new life!

Tarot Finance Advice Readings

Tarot Finance Advice Readings give a sneak peek of what is going to happen money wise.  People work hard for their money.  They want to make it go further, so they could have an easier life.  So they consult the Tarot on how to handle their money.  Some people feel they are doing great, but want to make their money go even further; others will ask for a Money Spell because they feel they are going nowhere fast.

Tarot Finance Advice Readings

Tarot Finance Advice Readings are known as especially risky.  Not many Tarot Readers want to do those kinds of Readings for you.  Because, if they should make a mistake –  you would loose money.  They will get a bad reputation in both the Tarot Community and with their Tarot Clientele.  In other words, their name will turn to mud…

However, other Tarot Readers will do Tarot Finance Advice Readings.  Good Readers know what they are doing in that area.  And they get paid very well for it.

Personally, I do not specialize in Tarot and finance.  I am mainly good at ‘knowing the type of relationship you are in’ Readings.  However, I have been known to do some Tarot Finance Advice Readings mainly for my return clients who ask me to do that for them.  And I have been good at those.

Those clients trust me because I take the time to establish a good rapport with them.  My reputation with them is a good one.  There is very little risk of my name turning to mud with them.  They only expect me to enlighten and guide them the best I can;  I tell them honestly what I read in the cards for them.

Tarot Finance Advice Readings, I first did for myself in my own material and business life.  Do not get me wrong, I am not rich by no means.  I am not a Star of the Tarot Community.  I am just little old me; a Tarot Reader who has done Readings on and off – for well over fifty years now…

Hello, fellow Tarot Readers.  My name is Evergreen of Tarot Readings By Evergreen.  This Tarot Blog article on Tarot and Finance is part of the 2016 Vernal Equinox Tarot Blog Hop.  We are a group of Tarot Bloggers who get together from time to time, so to blog together on different Tarot subjects such as Tarot and Finance – for example.

Tarot and Finance

Tarot and finance are of particular interest to many at this time of the year.  If you are like me, taxes weigh heavily on your mind now.  Our Tarot Business Year has come to an end, and the Tax Man expects us to file our taxes.  Just last week, I went to a professional business and tax accountant to have my income tax done by him.

I am the owner and only Tarot Reader at Tarot Reading By Evergreen.  Doing Tarot Readings in exchange for money energy is but a ‘hobby business’ for me.  I am my boss.  I am also a stay at home wife who is my husband’s caregiver.

Because I run a hobby Tarot Business, I need a tax accountant to do my income taxes for me.  Since my Clients pay me to my PayPal business account, all I need to do is tally up all the paid invoices.  Then I do the same with my business expenditures.  After I have done that, I bring that to my tax accountant, for him to fill out the tax form for me.  All I need do is sign it and pay him.

My tax accountant is a professional corporate tax accountant that runs his business from his home, a street from my house.  His daughter, who is also an accountant, is a Tarot Client of mine.  On top of doing my State and Federal taxes for me, he gives me professional financial advice for my little hobby business.

Needless to say, filing taxes can be stressful; especially in the case of a hobby business.  Having a tax accountant took a weight off my shoulders.  I do not have to worry about that anymore.  All I have to do from now on is to do professional Tarot Readings for my clients, and let him worry about my income tax at the end of my business fiscal year.

How do I use the Tarot for financial matters

How do I use the Tarot for financial matters, is simple.  Two years ago now, I used the Tarot to help set my fee for doing Readings.  The average professional Tarot Reader charges between $100 to $150 per Reading.  However, my clients barely afford my $50 fee for a one-hour phone consultation; most have to save up for another Reading with me.

The first question to ask of a Tarot Reader who agrees to do Tarot Finance Readings for you is, does she do that type of Reading for herself.  As most Tarot Readers are not wealthy, the results they do get from reading for themselves will be in accordance with their own individual circumstances.  However, if their Readings work for themselves, it will work for you too no matter your revenue!

For myself, I did use the Tarot about my own matters financial.  It’s been two years ago now since I did my very first one.  At the time, my husband and I were indigent; he had just lost his job and was receiving chemotherapy.  I had to stay home to take care of him.

Out of desperation, I took out my Tarot Deck.  I asked my Tarot to tell me what it wanted me to do.  Then I did a spell.  And I never had to repeat it since; it lasted for two years now!

How did I do it?  I started by pulling just one single Card a day – for four days in a row.  Without fail, the Tarot showed me my exact financial situation at the time.  On the fifth morning, I did a seven Cards ‘yes or no’ Spread.  On the sixth day, I did an even wider spread, so to get enlightenment and guidance about the crafting of a ‘draw money to me Tarot Spell’.

I think I lacked imagination!  Because I could only imagine meeting my ‘survival material needs.  I never did get rich by performing that type of spell!  Nevertheless, my clients are well-educated people.  English is a second language to me; yet somehow, my clients magically forgave my poor english skills anyways!

Both my crafting and business expenses have been met since.  To this day, my simple material life is taken care of.  Hubby and I have managed to buy our own home; we make it each month – touch wood!

When I desperately need money for both my personal and professional life, it never fails that clients will magically phone me for a Tarot Reading or two, or three!  They ask me how much, and they pay me.

This much said, however, this year, I plan to do my second ‘draw money to myself spell.’  This time, I promise myself to think bigger!  This time, I plan on asking the gods and the Angels of the Tarot – for a tad bigger monthly income.

Because we own an older house in need of repairs.  Not to mention that now that I do earn a steady monthly income, I want to be able to spoil my husband and myself a bit more!

Now that I have filed taxes, I will be able to use it so to take out a business woman’s loan or something like that.  If I can swing a loan, I will be able to apply it towards re-branding my Tarot Business properly; I need to make myself look more professional, and to reach a greater audience for my professional services.

Another Tarot and Finance anecdote I want to share with you concerns a ‘draw money spell’ I did for one of my return Tarot Clients of mine.  Long story short, she asked me to ‘attract money’ to her.

At first, I refused to do that for her; lacking self-confidence.  Over several months, she paid me to do several general Tarot Readings for her.  This permitted me to get a deeper psychic connection to her.  I knew and understood well her personal, financial, and love situation.  I then did a thorough research so to craft properly and perform her Tarot spell for her.

One day, I finally agreed to perform that spell she dearly wanted with me.  She clearly understood that I could not guarantee good results for her, but she paid me to perform it for her anyways.   What follows is her testimonial:

TESTIMONIAL:

I got a ‘money spell from Ms. Evergreen.  After 2 months, I won 2 lots with a $50.00 bid on Ebay – in an upscale gated community near the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania.

At first, I thought it was too good to be true.  But I remembered the money spell Ms. Evergreen did for me.  My spell request may not have come in a form of cash money, but the lots combined are valued by the tax assessor at $33,000.00 dollars. I can always sell the land for funding.

I recommend Ms. Evergreen’s Tarot Finance Advice and money spell to anyone who wants one.

Thanks, Ms. Evergreen!

Dee

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

Samhain:  Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

Previous Blog/Master List/Next Blog

Hello fellow Tarot Readers.  This blog post is part of the Mid-fall/Samhain 2015 Tarot Blog Hop.  Our Tarot Blogger’s group is posting about how to use your Cards to “Commune, Communicate, and Commemorate with those who have gone on before us through the Veil”.

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate
Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

Samhain:

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, Samhain falls on the 1st of November.  It is now Mid-Fall; the weather is colder, nearly all the leaves have fallen from the trees.  It is now the last of the three harvests.

Samhain represents ‘The Thinning of the Veil’.  On November 1st of each year, the Veil separating the Living from the Dead is at its thinnest.  This is when communicating with the Dead is at its more powerful.

At Samhain more than on any other day of the year, we Tarot Mediums get messages from the Dearly Departed who has crossed over before us.  We do this by doing ‘Mediumship Tarot Readings’ – so to better commune, communicate, and commemorate our own deceased loved ones as well as those of our Tarot Clients.

Commune:

At Samhain, we can better commune with our deceased loved ones.  To commune means to share and receive communications.  As a good Tarot Medium can receive messages from the dead – all year round, the following question begs to be asked:  “But why especially at Samhain?”  The answer to this question lies in the meaning of the word “Samhain” itself.

Samhain is a Celtic word.  Taken from the Celtic language, Samhain changes into ‘All Saints’- in English.  Translated into French, Samhain means “La Tous Saints”.  This indicates that there is something out of the ordinary happening on All Saints Day!!!  Historically, On ‘All Saints Day’ (La Tous Saints), there occurs a mystical thinning of the Veil.  So that on that special day, we mediums can share and receive messages from dead people more than we would normally.

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate
Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

Communing with the Dead is part of my French-Canadian cultural background.  You would be correct in saying, that we French-Canadians have a ‘Death Faith’.  As descendants of the Keltic-Bretons, our religion is firmly grounded in our dead ancestors.

As a cultural group, French-Canadians make no distinction between the dead and the living.  If one day Christianity disappears from our culture, we will still be religious.  We will still have our faith grounded in the ‘Land of the Dead’, and in our ancestors who dwell there.  Both the Land of the Dead and our ancestors who dwell there, are at the root of the Ancestor Magic we craft and practice in our daily lives.

Having explained this much, I am sure you can now better understand me as a Mediumship Tarot Reader.   As Keltic-Bretons, we French-Canadians are always aware of our deceased loved ones.  However, at Samhain, that awareness becomes sharper.

Because of the Veil, the average person’s consciousness is less aware of the spirits that walk amongst us every day.  However, on ‘All Saints Day’ when the Veil is thinner, the average Consciousness becomes – even more aware of them than on any other day.  On All Saints Day, our ability to communicate with the spirits – becomes ‘more attuned’.

‘The Samhain super-sensitive awareness of the spirits that walk among us’, actually lasts from November 1st up to January 5th.  After January 5th, this super-sensitivity to the presence of the Dead goes back down to its normal level of attunement.  Once it returns to normal, we Keltic-Bretons (as do the many other cultural groups) remain aware of our deceased loved ones – but just much less than during the thinning of the Veil itself.

Communicate:

Spirits can show themselves to us anytime they want to, all year round.  They can communicate with us anytime they want to, all year round.  However, at Samhain, we humans become even more super-capable (attuned).  We then are more tuned-in for Channeling.  On a personal note, it is an honor people do me to let me participate in their communicating with their dearly departed.

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate
Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

When you do Mediumship Tarot Readings, you are channeling a message from the Dead.  You can both send and receive a message to the Departed.  The Channeling Spread is great for Mediumship Tarot Readings!

The Cup in this Spread represents the Golden Grail; it is a holy cup.  It serves as a mystical bridge between the Living and the Dead.  When channeling, it is my to-go-to spread.  I did not create this spread; because several tarot authors lay claim to it, I cannot for sure say who invented it.

I use this particular Spread because I suffer less of an energy drain when using this one.  I find it easier with this one, to visualize myself creating a bridge from my side of the veil to the side of the spirits.  Click on the Golden Grail link in the previous paragraph to get this spread.

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate
Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

To perform Tarot Mediumship Readings, one must have heard the call.  Those of us, who hear the call to communicate with the dead, become (conscious) of something beyond the here and now.  This means that we have a deep sense of knowing about it.  We not only know it, we understand it.

In his book The Spiritual Teacher in the Cards, Alejandro Jodorowsky also explains the meaning of the Judgement card:  “as the deep nature of a person called to consciousness”.  “You hear the call of the Trumpet when a force defying death is at work”.  To go to the Judgement Card, click on the above Judgement Card link.

Commemorate:

The Breton Witch Gaia, a cousin of the Druidesses. This picture Gaia was taken by a French journalist - in Bretagne
The Breton Witch Gaia, a cousin of the Druidesses. This picture Gaia was taken by a French journalist – in Bretagne

The Celtic-Bretons first came to the New France from Brittany – during the 1600’s to the 1700’s in hopes of finding the land of liberty.  In french, ‘Brittany’ translates to ‘La Bretagne’ (Breton).  We are the cousins of the Druidesses.

Before the Christian Conquests of Brittany, the Bretons were descendants of the ancient Celts.  This is why the Druids ruled our religious beliefs.  As the cousins of the Druidesses, we believed that the spirits walked among us.  We were, and still are today, and this no matter where we are in the world now, highly aware of the spirits of our deceased loved-ones.

To this day, here in North America, Spirits are part of the Breton’s daily lives.  Growing up as a girl, La Tous Saint (All Saints, Samhain) was a day for commemorating our dead family members and relatives.  It was a time of the Feast of the Dead in many cultures as well as in our own.

I remember my adoption mother, may she rest in peace, would bring me to the cemetery on La Tous Saints (All Saints Day/Samhain.  There, we would go to each of the Tombstones where her family was buried.  She said it was so to ‘remember’ them on that specific day of the year.  At each one, she would read the name aloud to me.

We Bretons believe that the spirits of our ancestors surround us and live with among us.  She would tell me each one of their names and stories so I would get to know them and remember them…  Down through the years, she told me their names and stories so very often, that it felt as if I had personally known them during all my life.

Mom and Dad's tombstone
Mom and Dad’s tombstone

Samhain (All Saints Day/La Tous Saint) was for my mother – the “Day of Remembrance”.  A day of remembering those in her family who had crossed over to the other side of the Veil before her.  Now that I am all grown up, I remember them as well.

The evening before, on ‘Halloween’, Mom would dress us kids in costumes representing the ‘Spirits’ that walked among us.  She would carve-out a pumpkin that represented those spirits.  She would place a candle inside that pumpkin, to ‘keep a light on’ for our deceased relatives; so they could readily find their way back home to her.  The candy she would give out represented ‘the sweet memories we held of them’.  Special prayers were recited for the sake of their souls, so to encourage their acceptance into Heaven (Hether).

The next morning after Halloween, on All Saints Day (Samhain), she would cut the apples we children had collected the night before.  She would make apple pies out of them; the apples were part of the harvest. The candy collected was sorted, and dispersed among us – her children, all according to each one of our age groups.  This represented our own contribution to Harvest of the crone.  (To read about the Harvest of the crone click on the link)

Samhain: Commune, Communicate, Commemorate

For Mom, La Tous Saint (All Saints Day, Samhain) was all about the thinning of the Veil.  She told me that on November 1st, the veil was very thin and that caused our heightened awareness of the spirits among us.  Mom told me she could hear, see, and sense them in her house and around town (not just at the cemetery).

Her commemorating them went on until January 5th.  In Canada, Thanks Giving is around October 12.  On that day, she served us a Turkey at lunch and at dinner.  With mashed potatoes, carrots, green peas, red beats, salad with tomatoes and sliced cucumbers.  For dessert, apple pie of course!  For Mom, this represented the abundance of her crone’s Harvest.  Of course, there was always an empty chair at her table for a deceased loved one.

Mom always served the same festive meal when the family gathered.  This, at Christmas too.  At Christmas, there were no gifts under our Christmas tree.  Mom said it was not our way, because we celebrated Yule instead.  She referred to Yule Tide as the night of the spirits of the past, spirits of the present, and of the future.  Spirits of the past, the present, and of the future were of serious concern for Mom.

On the morning of January 5th, was when I got my presents.  Dad placed a gift for each one of us under our decorated pine tree.  The presents represented the Three Magi who brought gifts along with them upon their travels.  It was the last day of the thinned Veil.  The last day of heightened attunement to spirits.  The last day of commemorating our loved ones and relatives, that had crossed the Veil before us!

samhain_thinning_of_the_veil_by_sagascottage-d8bzgbr

Many years ago, Mom crossed over to the other side of the Veil – before me.  She taught me not only the Marseille Tarot and the Lenormand, she also taught me about Mediumship.  Mediumship is not just communicating with deceased loved ones.  For us of the Celtic-Bretons, it is also part of our ancestor magic practices.

Ancestor magic is all about communing, communicating, and commemorating with those who have gone on before us.  When I do a Mediumship Tarot Reading, I am honoring not only the Tarot Master who taught me (my Mom); I am honoring her belief in her dear spirits she told me about repeatedly!  For I to, remember them – just as if I had actually known them during their living; actually I do know them after their death…
